What does it mean to dream an animal speaks to you?
Reported, and the detail dreamers keep returning to is that it did not seem strange at the time.
That is the finding, and it is the most useful thing on this page. Critical evaluation is substantially reduced in ordinary dreaming, so an impossibility does not register as one. The dreamer accepts it, and the surprise arrives on waking rather than during.
Which makes a talking animal an excellent dream sign. Anybody working on lucidity should treat it as a personal cue: it is unmistakable, it cannot happen, and it is memorable enough to recognise across nights.
