Dreaming an ex ignores you

What does it mean to dream an ex will not speak to you?

Reported often, and it belongs with the being-ignored material as much as with this record.

The person is present, visible, and does not respond. There is usually no hostility, which dreamers say makes it worse rather than better: a blank is harder to argue with than a refusal.

The being-ignored entry adds the detail that matters. Dreamers frequently cannot say whether they actually spoke, which puts a share of these with the speech-failure material rather than with anything about the relationship. During dreaming sleep the machinery of speech is switched off, and from the inside that is indistinguishable from not being heard.

So the reading most people reach for, that this is about how the person feels, rests on an event that may not have happened.

Where this reads well

Sorting it towards the speech failures is usually a relief, and dreamers can often confirm it: they do not remember hearing their own voice.

Where it is harder

Waking resentment towards somebody who did nothing is the avoidable harm, exactly as the infidelity entry describes.

Worth asking yourself

Did I actually speak? Were they hostile, or blank? Did I carry it into the day?

Dream interpretation is subjective. Nothing here is a diagnosis, a prediction, or medical advice.
