Dreaming about an announcement you cannot understand
Why can I never hear announcements properly in dreams?
It combines the two things dreams do worst with language: they cannot generate content, and they barely generate sound at all.
Dreamers describe an announcement, know it concerns them, and cannot resolve a word of it.
That is the same structure as the unreadable letter and the unretained diagnosis: the dream produces the situation of being told and cannot produce the telling.
The certainty that it concerned them is unearned, as it is throughout this database. Nothing established it. The dream supplied the significance and never got round to the content, because content is the expensive part.
Where this reads well
Knowing that nothing was said removes the sense of having missed something important.
Where it is harder
The conviction that it mattered outlasts the dream, and dreamers report straining to recall words that never existed.
Worth asking yourself
Do I have any actual words? How did I know it was about me? Where was I?
Dream interpretation is subjective. Nothing here is a diagnosis, a prediction, or medical advice.
