A game

Dreaming about a board game you cannot read

Why can I not read the cards in a dream?

Board and card games are described with unstable pieces and unreadable cards, which is the text and detail finding applied to small objects.

A card is the worst possible object: small, text-bearing, and demanding to be checked twice. Everything that makes reading fail is present at once.

Dreamers report a hand that is different when looked at again, pieces that move, a board whose layout will not settle. Very few report a game concluding.

That makes cards an excellent reality check, for the same reason a book or a phone is, with the advantage that a player is already looking closely and repeatedly.

Where this reads well

A strong lucidity cue arriving in a situation that demands rechecking anyway.

Where it is harder

Mild, though dreamers describe it as maddening.

Worth asking yourself

Did my hand change? Could I read anything? Did the game ever end?

Dream interpretation is subjective. Nothing here is a diagnosis, a prediction, or medical advice.
