Dreaming about waiting for food that does not come
What does it mean to dream nobody takes your order?
Ordering rarely completes. Nobody comes, the order is wrong, or the dream moves on before the food arrives.
That is the waiting structure, which is the most common unresolved shape in this database: duration without progress, and the awaited thing does not come.
Where food does arrive, taste is generally absent, in line with the general finding about gustatory content. The salt entry is the rare exception and the fruit, cake and meat entries find nothing at all.
So the dream cannot deliver the meal in either sense, which is why these reports so rarely conclude.
