Dreaming about purple
Purple is among the least reported colours and among the most confidently interpreted, which is a combination worth being suspicious of. Where dreamers do report it, they usually report it as unusual.

Cultural and historical
Tyrian purple was extraordinarily expensive to produce and was restricted by law in some periods, which is the origin of its association with rank across the Mediterranean world.
That association is genuinely old and genuinely well founded historically, which does not make it a dream meaning.
Modern associations with spirituality are recent and are largely a twentieth-century invention.
