Two records together
A car crash
A high-demand pairing where the most useful thing to say is about the point of view: dreamers often describe watching it rather than being in it.
What the combination adds
The crash is the event people search for and it is rarely the event they describe.
Two things recur. The impact is often not reported at all, with the dream cutting from the loss of control to the aftermath. And a substantial share of dreamers describe watching from outside the vehicle.
That viewpoint attaches to catastrophes across this whole database: deaths, falls, plane crashes, surgery. It is a strong association and it is worth writing down as one, because dreamers usually read it as detachment in themselves and it is not.
Pain is almost never reported, in line with every injury report here.
The brakes belong to the car page rather than this one, and they are the larger group: pressing a pedal to the floor with nothing happening is the effort-without-effect finding, not a warning about a vehicle.
The two records
Each is a full entry in its own right, and each covers ground this page does not.
- Car
The car is one of the most common modern dream settings, and the reports cluster around control: who is driving, whether the brakes work, and whether the dreamer can see where they are going.
- Accident
Accident dreams are common and, for anyone who has been in a real accident, may be trauma-related rather than symbolic, which is a different thing needing different handling.
Worth asking
Was I inside it or watching? Did the impact happen in the dream? Did anything hurt?
