The structure is the receding summit, the far bank of the river and the crowd that cannot be crossed: a destination that stays visible and does not arrive. What differs is only the scale, and the scale turns out not to matter.
Taste is almost never reported in these dreams, which constrains what a fruit dream can be about far more than the traditions suggest. If the eating is not there, a reading built on the eating has nothing to stand on.
