What does it mean to dream you can stand on a cloud?
A small number of reports, described with a matter-of-factness that dreamers find funny afterwards.
Nobody questions it at the time. The cloud holds, the dreamer walks, and the impossibility surfaces only on waking.
That is the compliance pattern in one of its purest forms, and it belongs beside the bus that drives underwater and the elephant in a hallway. Large impossibilities pass unremarked; small inconsistencies between things that must agree sometimes do not.
