Dreaming about causing an accident
What does it mean to dream you caused an accident?
The version dreamers feel worst about, and the guilt is usually out of all proportion to anything in the dream.
The structure is consistent: the dreamer is responsible, the consequence is visible, and the dream offers no way to undo it. Several report the moment of realisation being clearer than the event itself, which is characteristic of guilt dreams generally.
A dream is not evidence about you. The same reassurance the killing entry gives applies here in full: dreams recruit whatever produces the strongest feeling, and being at fault for something irreversible is one of the strongest available. It is not a disclosure about character or intention.
Where this reads well
The guilt lifts once the mechanism is understood, and dreamers frequently report relief at being told the dream means nothing about them.
Where it is harder
For anybody who has actually caused an accident, this is trauma material and is not what this entry describes.
Worth asking yourself
Was I at fault in the dream? Did anybody get hurt? Has anything happened recently that I feel responsible for?
Dream interpretation is subjective. Nothing here is a diagnosis, a prediction, or medical advice.
