Dreaming about seeing yourself
Is dreaming about two of yourself different?
Yes, and considerably. Seeing two of yourself belongs with the doppelganger material in the Bestiary, where the reports are much more disturbing.
The contrast within this record is the useful part. Two of somebody else is accepted flatly; two of the dreamer produces real fear, in the same dreamers, under the same conditions.
That asymmetry is a genuine finding and it is hard to explain by the compliance account alone. If evaluation is offline, both should pass unremarked, and only one does.
Whatever handles self-identity in dreaming appears to be more protected than whatever handles everybody else's, which is worth recording as an open question.
