What does it mean to dream a long time has gone by?
Reported, and what dreamers usually describe on examination is a small number of scenes plus a supplied conviction that a long time passed.
The years were not dreamt. The certainty about them was, and that is the same unearned certainty this database describes throughout, applied to duration.
The dust entry supplies elapsed time through an image; the turtle entry supplies age with nothing at all; this supplies years directly.
It is worth checking against your own reports. Dreamers who count the actual scenes usually find three or four, and the decades were an assertion sitting on top of them.
