Dreaming about being on stage unprepared
What does it mean to dream you are performing something you do not know?
Structurally identical to the examination dream, with an audience instead of a paper.
The dreamer is performing something they have not prepared, in front of people, and cannot leave.
That last part is what the exam version lacks. A paper can be stared at; a stage cannot be left, and the reports carry a confinement the examination dreams do not.
These are reported most heavily by people who perform competently in real life, which is the same finding the exam and interview entries describe: the dream is not an assessment and the people having it are not underperforming.

Placing it with the exam family removes the reading that it is a verdict on competence.
Where it is harder
Exposure plus confinement is a strong combination and dreamers report these as among their worst.
