What does it mean to dream about your own funeral?
You are there, watching. Sometimes nobody can see you; sometimes people can, and behave as if nothing is unusual.
This has to be said plainly, because it is the version people most often arrive frightened by: a dream about your own death does not predict anything. There is no evidence for it, and the belief causes real distress to people who are already unwell or grieving.
What people actually report is closer to observation than to fear, and far calmer than one would expect. The detail dreamers remember is who came. The reading that fits those reports best is not mortality but evaluation: what would be said, who would care, whether it would matter. It sits closer to the shame and school dreams than to grief.

Frequently reported as calm rather than frightening, and sometimes as clarifying, in the way that thinking honestly about one's own death sometimes is.
Where it is harder
It predicts nothing. If a dream has left you frightened about your health, speak to a doctor about the health question and disregard the dream as evidence.
