Dreaming about an animal being badly treated
What does it mean to dream somebody is cruel to an animal?
A small group producing disproportionate distress, in the same way the other animals-in-trouble reports do.
The dreamer is safe throughout. The grief and anger are entirely on behalf of something else, and dreamers frequently report the anger as stronger than anything else in the dream.
What distinguishes it from the beached whale and the upturned turtle is that somebody is doing it. Those are situations; this has an agent, and the reports carry outrage rather than only sorrow.
Where the dreamer intervenes, these move into the saving-someone material and follow that pattern, including the failure to arrive.
