What does it mean to dream somebody is standing at a crossroads?
A small and distinctly eerie group, and it belongs closer to the Bestiary than to the rest of this record.
The figure is waiting, or standing, and usually does nothing. Dreamers report the certainty that it is there for them and no evidence at all for that.
Crossroads carry a great deal of folklore about meetings and bargains, across several traditions, and some of these reports plainly arrive carrying it. Others come from dreamers who know none of it, which is the more interesting group.
The waiting-figure material in the Bestiary treats this properly, with the same restraint: the reports are consistent, and consistency is not evidence about what is being reported.
